BAD IDEA
Why do people care so much about appearance?
Because society's opinion is like your annoying neighbor: unavoidable and loud. Nobody likes being the odd squirrel out.
People care about appearance because it's the universal RSVP card to social events called life. Looking a certain way signals status, health, and personality shortcuts—saving everyone time from awkward intros. Basically, it’s social survival with a side of vanity cocktails. If you stop caring, you might save money but lose invites and chance encounters where jeans and a smile don’t cut it.
